Get involved
Throughout the academic year, Centrale Lille Institut takes part in numerous career fairs (for prestigious universities, higher education, high school and college students, etc.).
As a student, you can get involved in representing the school by:
- presenting the programs,
- sharing your experience,
- answering questions from future applicants.
🌈 This is an opportunity to develop your communication skills, showcase your background, and contribute to the image of Centrale Lille.

Every year, an Open Day is organized at each of Centrale Lille’s internal schools, on a date set by the Académie of Lille.
These days are an opportunity for the general public, high school students, and future students to:
- discover the programs, student projects, club life, etc.;
- visit the premises;
- meet teachers and students.
As a student, you can get involved by welcoming visitors, guided tours, club stands, or demonstrations.

Every year, Centrale Lille takes part in numerous forums in high schools and preparatory classes to present its programs and student life.
Steps to follow:
1️⃣ I register
→ in my school’s invitation list. (Maximum of 2 students per forum)
→ Lists: Ecole Centrale de Lille / ENSCL / ITEEM / IG2I
2️⃣ I submit my assignment request here
→ at least two weeks before the forum date.
3️⃣ I sign and return it by email before departure
4️⃣ I collect my kit
→ from the communications department or the registrar’s office for IG2I (goodies + materials included).
5️⃣ I take part in the forum
→ to share my experience and encourage students to join my school!
6️⃣ I submit my reimbursement request here and return my kit to the communications department.
7️⃣ I sign and return it by email

Every year, Centrale Lille helps organize the Centrale Supélec Competition exam, a major event for students in preparatory classes.
As a student, you can get involved and enjoy an enriching, rewarding, and professional experience:
- Go behind the scenes of an admissions competition
- Develop your organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
- Represent and promote your school
- Interact with students from other institutions
📆 The competition takes place over four weeks (late June to mid-July). You can take part for a day, several days, or a whole week.

🌈 Club life is a central part of the student experience at Centrale Lille Institut. It give you the opportunity to get involved, grow, develop new skills… and make the most of campus life !
Centrale Lille Associations (CLA)
Centrale Lille Associations (CLA) is the coordinating body for student associations (excluding IG2I). It:
- supports associations in their projects,
- facilitates administrative and financial management,
- encourages the creation of new initiatives,
- promotes exchange between the different schools of Centrale Lille Institut.
With more than 70 associations, there are many possibilities: sports, culture, humanitarian work, entrepreneurship, tech, events, etc.
Whether you want to create an association, join a project, or simply take part in student life, CLA is your starting point!
🗣️ Open lecture halls are discussion sessions held twice a year between the management team of Centrale Lille and its students.
The aim is to allow everyone to freely ask questions about:
- the academic program and its evolutions ,
- the institution’s strategy,
- upcoming projects,
- or any other topic related to student life at Centrale Lille.
These sessions promote transparent dialogue in a supportive and constructive environment.
They also provide an opportunity to share your ideas and concerns and to better understand how the Institute operates.

At any time, thanks to the ongoing survey “My school: I give my opinion”, share with our teams 💡 your positive experiences as well as 🚧 any difficulties you have encountered, in order to make your daily life smoother and more enjoyable.
🤝 This feature complements the other channels of dialogue already in place within your school and the institute: individual appointments, meetings with class representatives, open meetings , etc.
Your contributions will not go unnoticed : regular feedback on the opinions received and the actions taken will be shared via the “Le Point Actu’” newsletter.
The Board of Directors determines the general policy of Centrale Lille. It decides on the general organization of studies, as well as on research programs, scientific and technical information, and international cooperation. It aproves the budget, approves the financial statements, and determines the allocation of posts assignedby the relevant ministers.
The Board of Directors has 26 members: 3 representatives of university professors and equivalent staff, 3 other teacher-researchers, teachers and equivalent staff, 3 representatives of engineering, administrative, technical and service staff, 3 representatives of students enrolled at Centrale Lille, and 14 representatives of external actors .
President: Mathias Povse – Regional Director of the EDF Group and Commercial Director of EDF Nord-Ouest.
Elections are held regularly to become a member of the various councils.
Being part of these councils is the best way to make your voice heard, contribute to the development of the institution, and take part in decision-making.

Each internal engineering school has a school council composed of eight staff representatives, three student representatives, and five external representatives. The director of the internal school is appointed by the Director of Centrale Lille, after consultation with the relevant school council. This council has an advisory role covering all areas of activity developed within the school.
Elections are held regularly to select members for the various councils.
Serving on these councils is the best way to make your voice heard, contribute to the development of the institution, and take part in decision-making.

The Academic Council, chaired by the Director, is consulted on the direction and implementation of Centrale Lille’s training policy and on applications for training accreditation.
The Academic Council is composed of 20 members, including four representatives of university professors and equivalent staff, four other teacher-researchers, teachers, and equivalent staff, two representatives of engineering, administrative, technical, and service staff, eight representatives of students, and two external representatives .
Elections are held regularly to become a member of the various councils.
Being part of these councils is the best way to make your views known, contribute to the development of the institution, and take part in decision-making.

The Scientific Council, chaired by the Director, is consulted on the direction and implementation of Centrale Lille’s research policy, agreements with research organizations, and the qualifications required for vacant or requested teaching and research positions.
The Scientific Council has 25 members, including 16 staff representatives, 3 representatives of (enrolled) doctoral students, and 6 external representatives
Elections are held regularly to select members of the various councils.
Serving on these councils is the best way to make your views known, contribute to the development of the institution, and take part in decision-making.
Since 2007, Centrale Lille has been involved in various social outreach programs with the aim of promoting higher education in science among students from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds, who are less likely to pursue these subjects.
This is an equal opportunities program that promotes access to higher education for middle and high school students from working-class backgrounds. It helps them prepare for their future educationalchoices and their entry into high school and/or higher education by developing the skills required for these paths.
