Purpose of the scheme
To support students of the institution in developing innovations with the potential for technology transfer and/or business creation through financial support, while respecting the values of our institution.
This financial support may, for example, be used to:
- Turn an innovative idea into a prototype;
- Develop a technology with the potential to support creation of a company;
- Explore commercial valuation pathways for research results.
Amount of aid
The aid likely to be granted ranges between €500 and €5,000 including tax, within the limit of the budget envelope provided for in the budget.
Who can apply?
All students enrolled at Centrale Lille for the current academic year.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applications must meet the following conditions
- Project themes
Particular attention will be paid to ensuring that the selected projects are fully consistent with the values upheld by Centrale Lille.
- Eligible expenses
The eligible expenditure under this fund is as follows:- Services such as the development a prototype, the carrying out of analyses, studies, etc., by a laboratory or a company if the required expertise is not available within the institution.
- Services such as market studies, the development of an application, a website, brainstorming sessions on results, etc. These services may be provided by a Junior Enterprise or by a company external at Centrale Lille, depending on the nature of the needs.
- Services relating to intellectual property, such as a prior study with the INPI, assistance with patent filing, etc.
- Funding for an internship allowance to explore the economic potential of a technology.
- Expenses allowing the finalisation of a proof of concept in order to start an entrepreneurial project.
The selection criteria taken into account by the committee when deciding on the allocation of funding are:
- The quality of the presentation (clarity/structure).
- The relevance of the answers to the questions.
- The relevance of the project, of the idea.
- The compatibility of the project with the values upheld by Centrale Lille.
- The innovative dimension.
- The consideration of environmental issues.
- The credibility/viability of the project.
To ensure equal treatment of candidates, an evaluation grid will be provided to committee members
- The Director of Valorisation and Innovation
- The Head of the Development and Innovation division
- The Director of the student’s internal school or the Director of Master’s and Doctoral programmes
- The Head of the Business and Society teaching department
- At least one external expert from a partner institution within the “valorisation, innovation and entrepreneurship” ecosystem
